Abstracts & Posters
Abstract submissions are now closed.
Several of the best submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentations throughout the conference. Talks will need to be pre-recorded in advance of the conference and will be played back during the conference with the presenter joining live for questions. If your abstract is selected, you will be required to register for the conference as a paying delegate. You will ALSO present your work during one of the virtual poster sessions on each day of the meeting (in addition to the opportunity to present it orally). All submitted posters will be visited by members of the Scientific Committee during the poster viewing sessions.
The goal of the abstract submissions and poster presentations at the Advances Against Aspergillosis and Mucormycosis (AAAM) meeting is to present new data in the broad field of Aspergillus and Mucormycosis research and care. An abstract already presented at an international meeting, with no updates or additional analyses, will not be accepted at AAAM. Data already presented at a smaller national or regional meeting will be considered for acceptance. If an abstract already presented at an international meeting that has been updated or more recently analysed is submitted, then we (the Scientific Committee) will consider acceptance.
Acceptance emails were sent to all submitting authors on 15 December 2021. If you haven’t received an email, please contact:

Poster Guidelines and Instructions
Each abstract selected as a poster will be presented during one of the virtual poster sessions on each day of the meeting (i.e. twice over the course of the meeting). The presentations will take place at virtual tables in the informal, networking area of the virtual platform (Remo). The reason for double presentation is to enable people of different time zones to see your work and discuss it with you. Session and table allocations will be advised during January. We will do our very best to allocate suitable times to each presenter based on their time zone.
We will need you to send your poster in PDF format so that we can create an index of posters which will be accessible to everyone attending the virtual conference.
Deadline for posters to be supplied: Monday 24 January latest (please send sooner if possible)
Format: Single page PDF. PPT layout (landscape – either 4:3 or 16:9) preferred
File Size: 3 MB maximum
Send to: Derry – derry@collaborativeconferences.co.uk
At the virtual tables, each poster presenter will be able to open their poster from the index and discuss it with any visitors to their table (who will be able to look at the poster on their computer at the same time). A screen share function is also available on Remo which may be useful for anyone who wants to prepare a slide or two to highlight a particular area of their work. It is not recommended to show the full poster by screen share as it will be too small to see any of the detail.
Full instructions for the virtual platform, including how to access the poster index and how to screen share will be sent in advance of the conference.
If you have any questions about your abstract, please contact Derry – derry@
